Highway Safety In A Time Of Pandemic
Hello Folks, Phillip here with an update of some important highway traffic safety information that I’d like to share.
100 Deadliest Days
We have entered uncharted territory in many ways during this Pandemic, and I have some more bad news and some good news. The bad news is, as of this past Monday, Memorial Day; we have entered the yearly deadliest 100 days on the highways of the United States.
Highway Traffic Fatality Data
The good news is that preliminary 2019 crash fatality data shows us in a continuing decline in fatalities over the past three years. The Pandemic has limited the number of drivers and I eagerly await that data. I’ll let you know when I find out.
For more information on how you can protect your family and friends during these 100 days link here. You might want to read a Blog I wrote on this very topic.
Bike Safety Month
It’s summer soon and more and more bicycle riders are taking to the streets. Please keep you eyes open. I ran across an excellent article about bike safety for children that can also teach adults about the bicycle rules of the road. Refresh yourself
How crashworthy is your vehicle?
Crash worthiness is becoming more important every year. Prior to buying a new or used car or pickup crashworthiness should be part of your due diligence. Is your present car safe, it’s easy to find out.
