On June 16, Attorney Phillip Miller will talk about Expert Testimony vs. Lay Opinion – Is There a Juror Bias Against Experts

Phillip Miller, maintains an active practice in Nashville in addition to consulting nationally as a deposition/trial strategist. His innovative approaches and case strategy work, including techniques like the “Miller Mousetrap” have earned him recognition among trial lawyers nationally.

Although Phillip’s calendar is full doing case strategy and focus group research for other firms in addition to managing his own case load, he decided to undertake advanced studies at Baylor Law School. He has just completed his LLM with his major paper titled “Juror Centered Case Assessment”.

Phillip has been certified and re-certified as a Civil Trial Specialist, he is AV rated, and has been designated as a Super Lawyer repeatedly.

He has written 2 books (co-authored with his friend, Paul Scoptur): “Advanced Deposition Strategy and Practice” released by Trial Guides in July 2013; and “Focus Groups – Hitting the Bullseye” published by AAJ Press in January 2017. He is also a contributing author to “Anatomy of a Personal Injury Lawsuit”, released by Trial Guides in 2015 and has been published in Trial magazine more than 8 times.
